After four years of welcoming guests to Yayaki, and nearly five years of living on Spetses island, we created NISSIMOU — “my island” in Greek — a non-profit organisation born from love, lived experience, and a deep sense of responsibility to our community.
Inspired by Family. Built for Community.
NISSIMOU is inspired by our daughter, Athina, and by the communication challenges that reshaped how we understand inclusion, care, and belonging. It began with a simple wish: that children could access essential support without leaving the island they love.
Today, that wish is becoming reality.
Through NISSIMOU, we are supporting children with special needs in Greece by offering access to therapies, guidance, and long-term support — starting right here in Spetses.
